This sounds all too familiar. Sometimes I feel like online dating is just a meat market. There have been a couple of times that I’ve gone out with guys, totally hit it off during the date and then I never hear from them again even after attempting to contact them. Is it me or is that just plain rude?

My boyfriend is an online boyfriend and we've been together over a year. We didn't meet on a dating site, we just met on this arts site and started talking.... I have an issue with trust because I've been betrayed a lot so that's an issue but other than that we do pretty well....

I gave up on online dating a year ago. It was my jump start into the dating world and that was it.
The problem with online dating is it encourages severe ADD. Guys seem pretty afraid of commitment to begin with, put a million easily click-able women in front of them and I actually don't see anything good coming out of it.
Really the internet is just a safety wall for people (men and women) to be douch-ey behind- first you advertise yourself to be awesome and then just dissappear if something doesn't suit you. And noone can call you out on it.
